There is something about the Natwest tower that I liked. I have only ever seen it once but it really interested me. Maybe it was the first tall building I had seen in person. An extremely touching moment for me was standing below this great tower.

The plane would not take off.............the end!!!

So what does everyone do for a living. Are there any Aerospace Engineers out there?

Funnily enough I wanted to be an architect.

Do you know that it's floorplan is based on the NatWest logo?

The Gherkin is lovely, I think. Looking forward to the Shard being finished.

unless I stop wasting time on this forum and get to my next meeting I wont be doing anything for a living.

I wish I sold treadmills, think of all those happy hours with the planes

Kennyp - the garage is (was) extremely untidy. It was my parents garage and not mine. Mine is much cleaner and well organised. Everything has its place in my garage.

Everything has a place in my garage too.....scattered around on the floor!

Elfinsafety - No I never new that. I am even more impressed. And yes of course the Gherkin. Buckingham Palace also impressed me on my visit down south.

I often run on treadmills maybe I should take my personal jet to the gym one day and try.

Would anybody be interested in looking at my other bike and commenting sensibly on it?

Ooh Hepsta London's full of great stuff! You should get down here more often.

[img] [/img]

I only found this out a few years ago, and most folk don't realise it.

Where are you based?

What about art?

I'm right into a bit of Hokusai at the moment.

[img] [/img]

Some of Hokusai's stuff is a bit rude actually. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Involves ladies and cephalopods engaged in distinctly unholy activity. I wonder if this is based on some historical notion of female sexuality or something; whatever, it's quite weird.

Elfinsafety - maybe I should start another thread on architecture. I may get some interest and we could all meet up in London some time and make a day of it visiting some of these great sites.

Art....pfft not for me thanks.

Nice. Very green.

You want to look at that pointing just by your front wheel though

The pedals set it off well I think, DMR V8's I know aren't the best but the colour match was awesome.

Yeah, there's always a ride somewhere, but depends where in the country you are. Bound to be someone off here close to you.

Thanks!

Was there something wrong with the Mythbusters' test of the plane/conveyor-belt thing (genuinely interested, and STW is obviously a better place for good answers than google ๐Ÿ˜‰ )? It was ages ago, but I seem to remember that with a plane on the belt running at an equal reverse-speed to the plane, engine powered up to normal take-off speed, the plane just popped up of the runway and flew off.
