Hi all,

Looking to make a decent size purchase in Euros, seen a few people on here recommending companies to hedge via – but can’t find the thread.

Who’s good at the moment?

Cheers!

I gave some advice on this thread a few weeks ago - might have been the one you were thinking of.

YOu will need a Euro denominated account.

Barclays will let you have one for free, attached to your existing current account. They obviously want to fleece you by offering a really crap rate when you move funds from your sterling current account to you Euro account - dodge that by sending the money via transferwise to your Euro account.

I recently had a sizeable Euro purchase so moved chunks of sterling into my euro account over the course of 2 months so as to minimise timing risks.

With the rates where they are now, I might hedge a bit more as Id expect the rate to soften again after the general election if anything other than a conservative majority is the result 😉
