How longs your stem? I've got a 100mm at the mo and struggling to think what'd be best, Currently its not great for lofting the front wheel off a drop 😆

Large frame, 6ft tall, currently 90mm but getting a 70mm soon to try that out. I'm also hoping that it compensates for my (lack of) skill on front wheel lifts.

Originally had an 80 mm with standard bars which was great, but now rocking a 70 mm with OS bars. I tried a 90 for a few months but found the steering too slow - I found I was going round cornmers before the bike and unweighting the rear too much

70, then put longer forks on and a 50mm stem. Felt all floppy and DH at first but used to it now.

6', Large 2008 Heckler, Fox 36s, 60mm stem, wouldn't want to go much longer. I really can't imagine throwing a 100m job on there. Hasn't the whole world stopped using stems that long on bikes like this?

And yes, it rides up hills and round swichbacks and slow speed technical stuff just fine.

5ft10, Medium Heckler, 50mm stem. Its too short for longer rides. I want to try a 70.

Sounds like 70 is about bang on the money.

6'2" large 03 Heckler I got a 100x16deg stem so equivalent to about an 95x0 and it's pretty good, can wheelie/bunny hop it fairy well an it's not too short for pedalling and climbing. I guess I should go shorter, going to try a 70x0 with wider bars as soon as I can be bothered fitting it, dont wanna gimp it for pedalling tho.

Just found this http://www.njtrails.com/stemLengthCalcBeta.php
dunno whether this is any good, cant see it from this PC
