Can't figure whether to take the road or mountain bike. What are the roads or trails like? Ice or snow?

Rained all week, frozen hard this morning.
Should be a nice crust covering thigh deep clag.
🙂

Not much actual snow, bit of a dusting higher up.
Bloody cold though, we're wimping out and going for a walk.

The gritters were out in force last night but I'd wait an hour or so before going on a road bike on the quieter roads.
It was a cold cloud free night but it snowed a little at some point. Quite heavy frost in HX4
Have fun in the sun

If you're going high up I'd say mtb. We live at scape & back roads are a bit icy.

Bit of a dusting in Hudds at the tops but not noticed any ice on my run this morning. Just driven over to Sowerby Bridge and conditions are much the same.

Was out Monday & Wednesday night in Halifax for a MTB ride, pretty wet but it drains well. Take your pick, great day for a ride. Looking out my office window and am thinking of sacking work off to go for a ride as well.

Icey on quite roads, cold but sun is out so I'd say between 1-3pm ideal ride time (Marsden)

Just been for a walk up to Stoodley Pike from Tod.
It's about 0°C but with a nasty wind chill on the tops. Brrrr

This, just come back from a wander round the Dale and Hardcastle Craggs, and fell flat on may face coming back up blue pig on a slippy bit of mud/ice combo.

should be ace tomorrow though as it hardens overnight.

All was good until after I passed the Golcar Lilly in Hudds on the tops, then there was ice on the steep road descents. Tbink it'll be Peaks tomorrow (if snakes open)

Nah, normal pub lounge bit and a restaurant if you feel posh (same food, same beer)
