Moved to Heaton Moor a few months back.

Now its lighter at night, i want to get out on the MTB without having to sling the bike in the car!

I've looked at a couple of routes to Marple and beyond, but can pretty much guarantee i'll get lost!

Any locals on here who can show me some routes?

Standard Marple ride here:

https://www.strava.com/activities/868932281

The routes from here: http://www.romanlakes.co.uk/mountain_biking.htm are really easy to follow.

I'd like ot commit to showing you round but having some massive time issues at the moment

Often ride this area - you're very close to Reddish Vale which is the way out into the hills.

This was a recent ride to work from Whaley Bridge (home) to Manchester, via Roman Lakes/Mellor Cross:

You could copy the Reddish Vale bit in reverse. Add Woodbank Park for more fun.

I'm in Stockport mate, I can show you a few routes up above Roman Lakes, and if you get in touch via email (in profile) I'll send you over some routes from a book I've got if you like?

Stockport clarion ride from the Arden Arms every Wednesday, the routes are varied but tend to be 30+km
