Hi guys,

Has anyone been successful In finding a reliable pair of heated insoles?

Tried all the eBay/Amazon units from China etc, but inevitably 1 or both will die in a week or 2.

Desperately needed if I’m to ride through winter.

Any experience of these anyone for MTB?

Have you thought about the Hothands Foot Warmers. I use them when it’s really cold and wet and never have cold toes. They are thin enough to sit under the toes. Only problem is that if you are out for a long time they might need a shake to reactivate. I’ve done 4 hour sub zero rides with Shimano MW7 boots, merino wool socks with them. Handy to put on back of hands under gloves too.

Give over you big blouse.
Proper boots, keep your legs warm, keep your core warm.

Oh, I wish. I’ve got little or no circulation to my toes and finger ends, due to some quite intensive Chemo/Radio action 15 years ago.
On today’s ride I had: 5:10 Tennie boots, Neoprene overshoes, Sealskin longs, a pair of my wife’s pop socks, and freezing feet. In fact they’re still freezing now and I’m in bed. And, it’s only bloody November.

I’ve used a lot of the Hothands stuff, and they’re ok, but I don’t like the fact that they are just another disposable item that’s knackered after 1 ride. I will be using some on Thursday however.

Meh, ok, blouse retracted...

The key is waterproofish boots but still keep your legs and particularly your lower legs warm.

I've got some branded as 'Warmawear' that I've had for 2 winters. Although only ridden in them about once a week December- early March last year and a few times the winter before they worked fine giving about 2 hours gentle warmth (just about does my 50 minuteish commute plus putting shoes on, getting into the office either end).
They are quite thick, particularly at the heel end. I use them in a pair of lightweight walking boots that I'd normally wear with 2 pairs of socks.
I've found the boots much warmer than 5:10 trainers or larger size cycling shoes and overshoes.
Yes I'm a snowflake but without I suffer from chilblains all winter.
