If you are in Ballater highly recommend the climb to descend Heart Break (or Brake) Ridge >4km of unbroken granite slabs heather flowing trail. Look it up on Trail Forks.

I have ridden a few natural trails in the UK and this is imho is top of the my list.

Anyway the OP is wrong. It's a really crap trail not worth the effort of the climb
