[#5754880]

In need of some advise please.
I have a cannondale prophet which has a 1.5 steerer and cane creek headset fitted.
Just brought new tapered forks...
Now do I just need to change the top part of the headset or both?
Cheers

Just the top may even be able to get a spacer.

Just the top.
Did your headset come with a crown race?

The crown race is a ring that slides onto the fork's steerer tube and fits it to the lower headset bearing

Ok stupid question.
To be honest I have never seen a headset without a crown race.
So I wasn't sure if you were talking about something different entirely ...
Also at what relevance?

We dont know what your current fork is so if say you had a head shock that didnt require a crown race your headset wouldnt have one so youd need a bottom half to fit your new forks.
