I've an ongoing problem with my 8 month old bike that may or may not be caused by a worn headset. The manufacturers have offered me a replacement at £49.99 plus postage so am I therefore to believe that headset have short warranties and to be treated like consumables i.e chain , cassette , tyres etc.
Also the headset is a Acros Aix 03 any ideas what kind of replacement I could buy that would do the same job. ?

Not sure I'd be happy. I guess the argument is that it has a bearing which is a consumable item - but 8 months???
