[Closed] headset tolerances and compatibility

New frame coming and headset required is

IS42/28.6 IS52/40

wiggle do one that will get mn going for tapered steerer but the measurement is

IS42/28.6 IS52/39.8

anyone know if that will work fine or will the 0.2 in the lower cup bearing ( i assume) cause issues?

That number refers to the lower steerer diameter. 40mm is the approximation of 1.5". 39.8 is also suitable.

Please can you link to headset, I need one the same.

The lower bearing sits on a crown race and is self-centring - either size will work
