[Closed] Headset squeaking

I’ve got a Hope integrated headset fitted to my Genius (ie the bearings just sit in the headtube), and it keeps on squeaking! The only way to cure it is to remove the bearings, clean/re-pack them with grease, then re-fit them (with grease between all contact areas, and then it’s fine for several months but then returns. The headset isn’t binding, is smooth (and the when you rotate the bearings out of the frame, they’re smooth) and can be tightened-up/and stays tight

So at a bit of a loss why this keeps on happening!
