Anyone got any experience of the IceToolz headset remover?

It's only a tenner on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360294223643#ht_500wt_922), but I don't want it to damage my Hope headset... compared to other tools it seems quite cheap.

it'll be fine - you can achieve the same effect with a pice of 22mm copper tube slotted and then expanded out a bit.

I just you the extension bar from a socket set - it's not sharp so won't scratch the headset. Just work your way around the insert and do a little at a time.

Better than a bodge - I have used mine loads (park tools one but similar) being a serial bike builder/swapper ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Far safer than bodging, I have one and it works really well. Copper pipe would crumple given the amount of whacking needed to remove most headsets.

The ice tool one has a nice domed steel head for hitting, so it can't mushroom or bend. Well worth a tenner.

Got one and it's great. Far better (and quicker!) than tap-tap-tapping with a big ol screwdriver which I used to do.
