Morning All

That evil man, Si at Progressive Bikes has tempted me with one of these

[img] [/img]

The plan is to strip my Prophet down and run this through the winter, because of differing headtube lengths I need a 1 1/8 headset with as little stack height as possible.

So reconmendations and user reviews appreciated

cheers

CB for lowest possible at 21mm but if you can go a bit higher Orbit XLII at 27.5mm IIRC...Orbit will last longer and only £20 on eBay including P&P

Got both...Orbit XLII has been trouble free since I fitted it last Spring.

Hi had a look at the Crank ones, thought they were quite pricey and loose bearings, isn't that going backwards?

I do have 25mm of spacers on the prophet could lose them and run a high rise stem

If you *have* to go low then CB one is the lowest and it does come with a 5 year guarantee...which you'll need so keep the receipt 😉

As said though, if you've got a little more height (Only 5mm more than the CB headset) get the XLII...can't rate them enough.

Yup, my vote goes to FSA XL2. Been using one for 5+ years with no probs.
