Afternoon all! I have an old 2014 Voodoo Hoodoo frame which I'm trying to build up with spares I have laying around to get a mate out riding.
Problem is it has no headset. My Google skills are failing me and the spec sheet I found online just says 1 1/8 Aheadset.
Does anyone know how I can find out which cheap headset to buy?
You most likely need an EC34 headset (external cup, 34mm) - if the internal diameter of the head tube is 34mm top and bottom, that's what you need.
Best to measure the opening top and bottom. Most likely 34mm or 44mm. Then match the headset to the fork. If it is 34mm then you'll need older, straight steerer forks and an EC34 headset (probably what most people call a 1 1/8 Aheadset so the most likely). If it is 44 then you can fit straight or tapered forks. If it is something else then it might be an integrated headset. That is s bit more complicated.
