I would never usually listed to music, especially on the road, but came across a few products that allow for ambient sounds to be heard.

These seemed quite interesting, but would it actually work?

http://www.aftershokz.com/product/sportz-3/

I got the aftershox, they work fine as headphones but I still don't use them on the bike. Really good for listening but keeping an ear on whats going on. A bit like having your own hifi running but just for you.

They all seem to be 'different', 'leading' or 'first' - but that bone technology has been around a while has it not?

+1 for the aftershokz. I don't usually cycle with them but the concept is great. I find them very good on my motorbike with earplugs in - the best solution I have found.
