DT 551's are lighter and cheaper, not quite as wide but not far off.

Light bicycle 38mm rims?
Mine fitted the plus tyres very nicely. A very deep profile and make the tyres look even bigger.

I've put Derby rims on mine, 40mm external, work well with a 3'' spesh purgatory, and 2.8 Nobby Nic.
