[#1685945]

basically just changed the bearings in the feehub and put everything back together - however when i come to tighten the wheel in the frame using the QR it just feels hard to pedal and i cant back pedal without the chain going slack then snagging.

wtf is happening? ive changed bearings before but never had this!

any ideas?

did you get the black seal to pop down ok? if that sits high it can bugger everything up.

yep - all sorted got all the tools so everything is in place - apart from the 25mm washer that fits in the freehub body itself. forgot to put that in, but surely that doesnt effect anything does it??

It allows the freehub to work.

Not being funny - that is its purpose.
This might help - but also watch the Hope Tech vids.

Not a mystery at all, remove the spacer, tighten the QR, and the freehub body will be pressed into the hub bearing and hub shell with no running clearance between them, the pawls will probably end up being pushed tight up against the hub shell too.
