Like, completely lost?

Must have snapped somewhere on a fast rocky descent today. Didn't feel it or hear it.

Walked all the way back up to find it and no sign at all. I think the pixies had it.

It was a long walk back to the van.

Lost one on a practice run at Aston hill last year, couldn't find it trudging back up so I had to beg for someone's cast off from the bin to do my race runs...

Last time my chain snapped, I went over the bars, slamming crown jewels on stem as I went. I noticed that.

I lost a rear mech at Lee Quarry once, a crunch behind me & my rear wheel locked up. Chain looked like a DNA helix & I never found the mech, strange thing was that I was nowhere near any rocks so still can't figure out what happened or where it went!

Long walk back up the hill to Rochdale..

Exactly this happened to a mate in the alps last summer. He only noticed at the bottom of a long descent, and was so surprised he fell over clipped in ๐Ÿ˜€

I have gone to a ride 80 miles from my house , paid for parking and then discovered there was no chain on my own bike as i cleaned it and did not replace it ..FACEPALM

I learnt two lessons

1. Always ride your bike to the car
2.when lowey says dont worry i wont tell the forum its a LIE.

Yep - exact same thing happened to me earlier this year.
Descending quite a fast section. Got to bottom and went to start pedaling - thought I was spinning out Then noticed chain gone. Walked back up and searched for quite awhile .... pushed bike home.
