I think for me it would be;
Riding bikes in inappropriate conditions.
Mud.
No one in california has ever said "we should put chainstay protectors on both sides to stop them being worn away".
I've just watched that bit with Guy in about 20 times now and I'm still giggling.

I think the seasonality of it, wet roots, mud and warming up with a nice cup of tea after whilst having a laugh about the days ride, but also those few (up here anyway) summer days when you just want to ride all day because it's dusty and hot,and of course buzzing through the autumn leaves and the anticipation that comes with the first signs of spring.
