Just been to look to see about getting a new rear deralier on CRC and I couldn't see any shimano offerings available on their website. A quick look in a few other categories and I can't see any shimano parts there either. Looking on their brands list I can't see shimano (though I admit I may have just missed the listing).
Am I going mad or have Shimano actually disappeared from the CRC website?

Are you outside the UK or using a VPN? Shimano (and SRAM, Fox etc..) won't allow retailers to sell to customers outside their region, so those parts won't show on the website for overseas customers.

I'm in Norway and I can see and buy Shimano from CRC.

Judging by the screenshot you're logged into the Taiwan version of the site. I've just tried that, and you are right, it has no Shimano stuff.
In suffolk, VPN doesn't seem to be making any difference but I have just noticed that for some reason the CRC website had set my location preference as Taiwan which seems to be the thing causing me problems.
So, crisis averted, everyone can carry on with their day now.
