Ordered some new springs for my hope pro2 hub.
The new ones are half the width of the old ones.
Will this make any difference at all?
Are you talking about the pawl springs for the freehub? If they're genuine Hope kit, I can't see it being an issue.
Yeah the pawl springs.
And I presume they are the genuine hope kit.
Yep they are, they recently changed them to half width ones, when i spoke to them last month.

Do they fit exactly the same, or is there a spacer needed?
Nope , I just slotted them on as normal up the the end of the machined out bit. Seems OK now. they said it 'was to lower the resistance of the pawl action' I think its more likely to stop the metal snapping to be honest.The round part of the spring should hold it in place as it slides in anyways.
