Bought a sale bike off them last night - I emailed them today and they phoned my wife at home and said it will be delivered tomorrow - she asked if she could change the del. address back to the invoice address as she is at home tomorrow and they said no problems - v friendly and helpfull. Thats all - you can go about your business - move along, move along 🙂

Hats back on due to Merlin not refunding postage costs incurred sending my faulty forks back to them.

Oh Jesus 🙄 They do say on their site bikes can take 10-14 days - so yes I am easily pleased that a bike I bought online is getting delivered within 36 hours of purchase !!

Hats back on due to Merlin not refunding postage costs incurred sending my faulty forks back to them.

How long are we talking here?

When did you send them back Jamie? Have you tried phoning them - I have always (and I mean always) had good service from them in the past. Perhaps they need reminding of the postage?

You cannot please all of the people all the time.
I like Merlin and hats off to them for moving nearer my home with nice cycle paths to get there.

Spoke to them about it, sent proof of postage etc. Apparently it is in their T&C's that the customer pays for returns, which on unwanted goods I can agree with.

They probably are within their rights to do so, just seems a bit off having a £330 fork for less than 3 months and then having to pay a tenner to send it back to be sorted out.

Meh. I assume the world will keep on spinning.

From experience you don't usually get postage refunded on warranty items, that's for trade as well as public.
However I do if anyone has issues with the Diverse shocks I distribute 😀

If the forks are faulty they might reimburse for std delivery ? - so I would keep pestering them they may give in 🙂 However I have had 1 warranty return of forks and had to pay IIRC ? And as Loco says its no longer faulty item on arrival it a warranty issue so?

However its not Merlins fault they are faulty?

...but then it is not mine either? Anyways, it's not a big issue and I do no want to detract from your cap doffing in relation to the new bike 😉
