Had a couple of pairs of these around five years ago and they never lasted particularly long before the bearings disintegrated.
Have they got better in recent years?

Yep. Good warranty on them too. That shows they have faith. Go for the 3 and above versions.

Thanks. Good news.
I was looking at the "2" version... "3" version appears to be the same but with needle bearing on the inside instead of bushing, which sounds like a better idea... £80 on CRC though - ouch.
