I have removed anodising from chainsets without problems, is there a reason why it couldn't be done to Thomson post and stem? Has anybody done it?

If you do then take super-mega-extra care ๐Ÿ™‚ Caustic is very nasty stuff! Eye protectors and all skin covered up as a minimum.

Yes, I realise that. I stripped Hone cranks in seconds, will try the seatpost tomorrow I hope.

Hairychested- just out of curiosity, why do you want to do this? Is it just to remove the branding as shown in the picture above?

I can't, not now - no job so no new bike bits. Besides, I'll be polishing some Saint cranks too.
