I have removed anodising from chainsets without problems, is there a reason why it couldn't be done to Thomson post and stem? Has anybody done it?

For a while someone on ebay was selling custom purple thomson stuff.

If you do then take super-mega-extra care 🙂 Caustic is very nasty stuff! Eye protectors and all skin covered up as a minimum.
