[#2717035]

Hi all,
Am away in Harrogate tomorrow and Friday with work. Is there any good xc to be had within say 30 mins drive?

Anyone fancy guiding for an hour or two? Chips supplied ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers

Dave

A whole world of the stuff - one of the best locations for "doorstep" riding in the country

Unfortunately I'm no longer living there, but I'm sure there will be a few on here happy to show you around.

Don't forget to finish off by riding down the orangery in the Valley gardens just after its gone dark, Its an eye opening experience ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think Ilkley Moor has been advised on here a few times recently. Stainburn is only a couple of miles away, you could ride out to it. Harewood House (sp?) has some riding and you are probably only 30mins from getting up into the Dales. Boneshakers in town sell laminated OS maps marked with routes.

Patley bridge loop is a good one 2-3 hours.

For a long XC ride, the pateley Bridge route is good. We start in lofthouse, middlesmoor, scarhouse res, big circuit of valley down to Ramsgill.

For an evening locally, I only know Stainburn, which is mostly hand built obsticals which are short and brutal. It's not everybodies cup of tea. Over the road from all the hand built stuff is Norwood Edge which is more natural and xc, but it helps to have some local knowledge for that as FC won't allow any trails to be built or routes marked on the ground. these vids should give you an idea of what's at Stainburn
