I'm off to Harrogate next week for work, and thinking of taking a mtb, I've got a gps so can easily plot a route. Generally how do the local bridleways hold up?

Nidderdale holds up well in winter.
Windy weather can be fun ๐

Nidderdale 'classic' from Pateley Bridge was in very good nick last weekend. The only bit I left out and went on the road instead is the section up from Ramsgill across fields towards Middlesmoor, and even that was probably rideable.

Stainburn (both sides of the road)
And the classic Nidderdale loop from Pately...
Most excellent, take cake.

There's a new route around Swinsty Res. It's on the Yorkshire Water website. You could include Stainburn to make it a proper ride.
