for the past two years i have been riding a full sus which i love. But i have recently invested in a cotic soul which i also love. I took it to Llandegla today and i just tended to ride round just as fast as i would on my full sus. The only problem i had was my hands seemed to be really shaken to the point i had a bit of pins and needles. It was almost like the fork suspension wasnt working is this a normal feeling and if so what can i do to make it a bit easier on my hands.

Gloves, Ergons, shorter stem?

I think you have to sort of loosen your grip slightly and keep your wrists / arms from tensing up more when it gets really shaky on a HT.

Or pick a better line.

Assuming you're not running 500 psi in your front tyre or something silly, i'd say it sounds like the fork needs servicing.

Surely a HT shouldn't suffer from any more front end buzz than a FS?

As above, maybe the forks are a bit broke

Bars/Brake levers at a funny angle? Lever bite point to far out?

Possibly your geometry is different on the HT i.e. bars lower = more weight on them. Also I would think the unsuspended wheel's movement transmitted through the frame would result in some fore/aft vibration at the bars. I seem to get sore hands after a few hours on my hardtail for what I thnk is this reason. Loosening grip slightly and keeping elbows bent seems to help.
