Planning a long weekend trip to france or spain with my 15 year old son. He has an Orange P7 so to be fair I will be taking my hardtail as well. Can anyone recommend a venue that could be fun to ride on a hardtail. He's a fairly competent rider and would cope with a red route at bike park Wales but not black.

Sierra Nevada area of Southern Spain?
Was ok on my cove hj a decade ago so should be great on a modern HT
