In the happy position of xmas bonus sat in the bank so new bike time before it gets squandered on new carpets, beds etc. Mrs g has me outbiked at present with trek superfly carbon 650b nicebike fast and light. Options so far
superfly 9.7 2016 £1300
trek procaliber 2017 £1500
genesis tarn 20 or high lat at 1350 and 1099.
range of riding inc trail centre, peaks + local trails, want comfort and good alrounder. any thoughts please

Sonder Broken Road, I had a demo Fof one just cos I could and was VERY tempted, great all rounder

Carbon or steel? Both very different rides. My mate has a superfly and loves it but I don't really trust carbon off road. If you like the Genesis take a look at a Stanton and support a small independent British company. I just got a Sherpa and it's awesome.

Another vote for Stanton; the new Slackline is particularly good and a bike that I really fell in love with when Dan leant me one for two weeks and will make a brilliant trail bike.
