[Closed] Hans Dampf 2.35 on Crest 29ers

I allowed myself to be persuaded to spec Stans Crest rims instead of Arch on a 29er wheel set and am now regretting it because it might limit tyre choice. Are Hans Dampf 2.35 too wide for Crest 29ers? Has anyone tried running them?

Cheers
Rich

No I run one on an Arch EX, which has the same profile as the crest and its fine.

The only difference between Arch EX and Crest is internal bracing.

My mate runs one on a Crest on the front; doesn't seem to be a problem ๐Ÿ˜€

I struggle to run meaningfully low pressures on mine with anything large volume without them getting all rolly and burping. Will be swapping to Pacenti tl28's or even a velocity P35 on the back asap.

Perhaps I should add my mate is whippet-weight....

I'm sure I asked JRA about this last year and they said it would be fine.

Thanks fellas. I might sell the rear hans Dampf and get something less voluminous like a cross mark.

Perhaps I should add that I'm a fatty (and like getting sideways).

That way you'll have no grip whatsoever, you'd be better off with a racing ralph
