hi are these designed to protect your rear mech or protect against your dropout getting damaged ? thanks

they are a godsend .i broke loads of bighit hangers.the demo9 has a hanger banger with it ans saved me hundreds of hangers.never broken a mech btw
rob i thought that but looking for reviews they all seemed to think they protected the mech . cheers jedi looks just the thing for my inbred 😉
my scott genius [i]has'nt[/i] got a replaceable mech hanger (you replace the whole seatstay bit at silly cost) and it [i]has[/i] got a silly rapid rise rear mech. So I have a hanger banger on it in the hope that one day it will trash the rear mech and not the seatstay. I have broken or bent 2 other hangers on other bikes since i fitted it to the scott, and the stoopid r-r rear mech lives on. Grrrrrr.....
