Going there Monday.Going to do some dh,just wandered what the xc trails are like,or is it worth going " off piste"?
Cheers John
Hamsterley is my "local" trail centre. I believe that the xc routes are worth the effort. There is along fire road climb half way through the red route, but the run down, is, I think worth the effort.
The black route is a bit more technically challenging, but again, I reckon the final "run in" is worth the effort.
Depends what you want from a day, I guess.
How far are you travelling?
i did the black for the first time in years a few weeks ago - had a good day, the new stuff like section 13 is great too. seems to be plenty of new dh trails built since i used to ride dh there around 7 years ago - i didn't have time to ride any but will be going back with my asx soon ๐ you'll have plenty to have a go at i reckon
Cheers fellas,
gonna give the black a wirl, then a bit of dh.
John.
I would try to include section 13, transmission and accelerator
something like this route
If you need a guide for the xc I am off monday and would be happy to show you my way of joining the red/black/offpiste bits together - any excuse to go riding!
