Bump.

Specifically, does anyone know whether it's 1, 2 or 3 loops of the same route or whether each 20 mile loop is different?

In previous years the 40 was two different loops, starting and finishing back in the same spot, so a good chance for some scoff.

I'm guessing the 66 will follow the same pattern (rather I'm hoping it will as I've a feeling i might be thinking discretion is the better part of valour after the first 40mi.)

I was up there on Saturday. Spotted a beast marker on the post at the bottom of Root 66 at the Odd Sox Turn.  So looks like Root 66 could be in or the route hit the fire track that runs at the bottom of Root 66 and Odd Sox is out.

Email today says the route loops back to the start area at 20, 40 and 48 miles.

Year before last  it was a cloverleaf pattern of 3 loops from same starting spot. Timing only works this way or with repetitive laps, the latter would be sh!t....

Do the loops return to a car park so I can leave food and water in the car and return to it if needed or just to a staging area ?

Just to a staging area which may or may not be anywhere near where you get parked.

It's covered in their emails of yesterday...
