Hi just a heads up to say big thanks the the people over at Hamsterley Trail Blazers that organised a great event last weekend.
The race is run over 2 days the first being XC the second a downhill race (although not too extreme). Both the races must be completed on the same bike.
A well stocked (and well cooked) BBQ on Saturday afternoon included in the entry fee.
The weather was good all weekend the xc course had a good mix of fire road climb with trail centre and natural single track descent.
Bit of rain in the night made the practice for Sundays DH pretty slippery, but by start time it had dried out and the grip was a bit more predictable.
The whole weekend had a nice relaxed feel and everyone was very freindly, all in all a great weekend. Cheers. ๐
Now then NCB, just watched the vid's and it looked like a great weekend. I'll have to look out for similar events in the future.
There needs to be more of this kind of racing. It's a lot more interesting than some 50k+ event, especially for those who have a 5-6" trail bike as their only bike.
p.s. We'll have to get out sometime, I've been off the bike a month now with this ankle though...It's driving me crazy! ๐
