Anyone know of any nice easy 30-40 miles routes around Haltwhistle?

Yes!

I think you may have my email - we discussed the Dolomites a couple of years ago.... ๐Ÿ™‚

Go North, beyond the wall for stunning views into Scotland like yesterday. https://www.strava.com/activities/596248193

Go South along the South Tyne Valley to Alston and the top of the Pennines.

Go East along the valley towards Hexham and loop back north or south.

Go West into the next county!

I think it is the Haydon Hundred this weekend - have a look at their routes for inspiration.

I don't know the area at all but it looks like we'll be going for a weekend very soon.

You could probably link into this one too for a bit more CX type paths. Through Wark forest is on one of the sustrans routes (68 I think). It's a lovely area though I am biased.
