Verbatim, yesterday:
-"My manager says we've got spokes, for repairs that we do ourselves, but we can't sell them to you."
-"You can't sell me a spoke?"
-"No."

Wouldn't be an issue if they weren't the only bike shop within walking distance.
I don't see a problem there. They don't sell spokes. So what?
probably safer...lets face it whats the odds they'd sell you the right ones?
when i went in they only stocked them in 5s ie. 290,295,300 etc.
no good if you want 292
I also asked for a disk brake adaptor.
he told me to try a proper bike shop ๐
Do you really want a Halfords spoke? ๐
I haven't got any bike shops within walking distance. What should I do if I break a spoke?
Carry on riding.....

buy a few spares before you break one?
Surprised Halfords even know what a spoke is.

keep riding. My back wheel has two broken spokes that i've been meaning to replace for about 2 years now.
