Just went to Halfords for something for my car and ended up coming out with 7 tyres. 2x Continental vapour 2.1's for £1 each, 2x Conti explorer 2.1's for £1 each and 3x CX type tyres for 1p each. £4.03 for 7 brand new tyres! Do Halfords do this often?

Not that bad at all. Ignore them, you did well. (various Contis on nearly all my bikes).
My black chili mountain king supersonics (old model) were £10 each from Halfords. Still about £9.50 too expensive mind
