Hi all,

Does anybody have any idea what the conditions are like round Haldon Forest at the minute?

Cheers

dampish

boggy in the low badly drained bits, the windy bits are quite dry considering...

depends if you want to start at the top or the bottom ๐Ÿ˜‰

there are several laybys around near the main Hub that you can park in and still be out of the way, just make sure you're not obstructing any of the cut-throughs for Emergency vehicles and you should be OK.

They are still felling in places up there at the moment so depending what time you're up there if its a week day keep an ear/eye out for them.

Have they done anything about the 'stream' running down the trail halfway round the new adventure trail yet?

Was up there after work on Wednesday and it was OK in most places - few puddles but all firm enough on the made trails. There does appear to be a bit of a land slip next to the ridge trail singletrack with a lot of flints out on the trail - totalled a mate's Ardent with an inch long gash in the sidewall. Will be very claggy off-piste.
