Due to work commitments Im stuck with the dreaded gym bike as my only riding for up to 3 weeks at a time. Previously I've just avoided it as I hate aimlessly pedaling looking at a wall. I've decided to try and make the best of it and dust off the old HRM to at least make it more meaningful and hopefully bearable! Would anybody have any SIMPLE heart rate monitor based sessions they could share or links? All Ive found on 'tinterweb seem to be overly complex roadie type sessions.
I understand the basics of it ie zones etc So far I would just plan to do an hour with a warm up in Z1-2 40mins in Z3-4 then warm down again. How does this sound to start?
Basically looking to improve general endurance as looking to do a few longer off road rides (the longest being 50 miles) later in the summer.
