Long shot, but is anyone aware of whether storm damage in the Gwrachen forestry area (SW of Pont Twrch on the A458) has been cleared over the last couple of years?
I'm putting together a route, and the track heading west from the forest margin at SH 972 098 used to open up useful off-road options. However, two years ago it was completely impassable, smashed to bits by storms. It seems unlikely it could ever be cleared, the damage was that bad, but maybe I'm wrong.

Cant help with current conditions, but i walked through that way a long time ago (2009) and noted that much of it was a swamp back then, even in August
