GV500 waterproof trousers - bikepacking

Having got absolutely soaked on yesterdays ride, it’s reminded me that our various planned 1-2 week cycling trips probably do need me to buy some waterproof over trousers. I’ve got some Berghaus paclites for walking but even looking at a gritty saddle they are going to shred. Done a forum search, but much like the total lack of online review, can’t find any comments on the Endura GV500 trousers. They will be for bikepacking trips plus riding our cargo bike. Like the look of the reinforced bum, 40000 g/m2/24hr breathability rating and small pack size. Wondering if anyone has used them in anger?
