I've had 3 squirters now that have been gummed up by Guy Martin's cleaner, specifically I think the degreaser. The first one was an old Muc-off one, so I assumed I was just unlucky but it's done for a Guy Martin and another Muc-off one since.

Am I just unlucky or is this a thing? I'm wondering if it's the dissolvable pouch that's gluing up the piston in the trigger.

I’ve had it where it’s gummed up after infrequent use. Found sticking it under the hot tap and working it til it sprays out does the trick

Tried that. It got the lever moving again but wouldn't produce any pressure/spray. This was with one of the Muc-off and the Guy Martin one. Think I might have damaged them squeezing too hard with them bunged up.

Yup it seems to be the pouch that gums things up, noticed this the other day,

I've not had it with the cleaner, not tried the degreaser. I did think the bottle it came with was a bit rubbish and had too much a direct spray where I wanted a bit more of a mist spray.

I've also had the same problem so will try soaking the head for a while, thanks for the tip.

On a related note how are you finding them? I love the idea but the cleaner only seems ok-ish and the degreaser appeared to be hopeless. I'm open to it being user error though, do you need to let it soak longer or something?

Only used the cleaner, but agree with the above. Would be much better if the spray was more of a mist than a jet, easy to miss what you’re trying to cover. Not sure how much better any of these cleaners actually are than warm water really. Smells nice though!

I find both quite decent, put the degreaser on first and scrub it in to work while doing the rest of the bike. I like the idea of only transporting the powder and not half a kilo of water too, (not sure the rest of Mr Martin's lifestyle supports these green credentials though 🤣)

I'm going to get a couple of new bottles and tip the power out of the wrapper in future.
