About to stick my old Mojo on Gumtree, and am a complete newb to selling online. It was a great bike when new, but that was twelve years ago and it's had a hard life.
It's working at present, but as we all know bikes wear out and bit break, and I'm slightly concerned what happens if the buyer sees it, buys it and then decided he don't want it.
Can he do a thingy and demand his cash back?
Gumtree is sold as seen.

just be open and honest with condition detailing and issues such as [s]cracks[/s] stickers rubs marks on photos

I've sold a few bikes on gumtree in various conditions. If your honest and price accordingly you wont have any problem. Used bikes seem to be fetching good money at the moment.

Lot's of pics, honest description but don't down sell. No need to describe every scrape - just have pictures of everything and state it's in working order but significant signs of wear / use.
If it's cash realistically there is nothing (legal) the buyer can do once collected. However, in the real world, if someone bought it then wanted the cash back you would need to make a call on any potential ballache they might cause you vs keeping the cash.
Gumtree works but be prepared for lots of "Is this still available ?" messages and then you hear nothing more from them, very frustrating.
Follow up question.
I seem to recall someone saying not to give phone numbers out on Gumtree.
Brian wants my phone number to text as his WiFi is not working so well.
