Managed to drop my gorgeous white voodoo onto a concrete block while I was washing it- gouged a chunk out of the top tube, right down to the metal. Sick as a parrot!

If it were alu, I'd be tempted to leave it, but since it's steel, really feel I should cover it up- ideally with white paint, as if it never happened! Anyone got any advice what to use?

Cheers
Joe

White makes it easier. I've used model enamel paint before which worked ok. Otherwise go into a hardware shop or somewhere like halfords and look for white metal paint. If you're really desperate, tipex and clear nail varnish.

My 456 has had scratches on it for years and is showing no signs of rusting away. I imagin all of the rust is on the inside of the frame.

Just go to Halfords and get a little touch-up brush in white with a clear laquer to seal it. Tip-ex will chip off, it's not very durable.

Use Hammerite not Tippex and do two coats. It's worked for my various bashed steel frames and they're still holding together.
