Anything out there? Not bothered whether SRAM or Shimano, with brakes or without - anybody seen anything worth a look? BOOST chainset ideally, but groups without considered (more or less resigned to buying that separately).

I recently upgraded (without crankset) for £165 (inc postage) using Sunrace 11-46 MX8 cassette, XT rear mech, SLX shifter, PC-1130 chain & Works Components chainring.

If you swapped the chainring for an SLX crankset you'd be adding another £53, or £68 for XT. XT groupsets seem to be a fair bit more these days though you'd pick up SLX for similar money.

Good luck! (and don't blame me)
Which brakes are you going to go for?

Levels - £50 an end on CRC (TL I think?) - I'm not massively fussy about modulation, they have reach adjust with an allen key - good enough. Hoped I might be able to Matchmaker these eventually.

Works out cheaper than full XT group, and more range. May have to spring for a direct mount 34t chainring, but lets see how 32/10 is, I don't challenge 30/11 that often so probably enough with a super low bail out gear.

32/10 is fine. Only time I pedal that out is on fireroads/roads.
32/50 is about perfect as a low gear that still travels forward enough to get over things.

(that's on 27.5 wheels)
