I stayed at minehead YHA and had a great time.

A man named ciderinsport led a noisy cider fueled party until 10pm; upsetting at least one of our party!! best avoided maybe ๐Ÿ˜‰

Porlock is trail central too. I usually camp at Sparkhayes and get drunk in The Ship.

years ago we stayed at Dulverton camping barn if thats any good
The Rock pub in Dulverton easy bike/walk and food in evening, do your own brekkie - biking out the door (== stone tent - so you need bag/pillow etc etc)

http://www.woodsdulverton.co.uk/Woods_Dulverton/Camping_Barns.html

see also yha camping barns
http://www.yha.org.uk/places-to-stay/south-west

tip re yoof hostels - check opening times coz getting back frozen to death at 4 in the pissing wet and finding it locked till 5 will possibly make you very unhappy
