[#5041308]

the wife has evicted the mountain bikes from the kitchen.

apparently, the kitchen is for road bikes only.

she'll be pissed when she finds them in the spare bedroom!

yep rocket ron and racing ralph... i generally only crash due to loss of traction once or twice a ride... lol

and yes, the grass is astroturf. no time to cut grass when you can be out riding.

as for robbers.... smile, you're on camera, that's if the dog doesn't get to you first.

Crashes and Astro/hoovered turf aside you have a nice collection of bikes! Why bother with the wife thing again??

fake grass rocks.... the dog can do whatever he likes on it, and you can just pick it up and the hose the turf down... no bleaches grass, no mud, nice and hygenic... quite important when you have little ones

Apparently the overspill of the garage is OK in using the study and the conservatory. I logistically put her bike in the conservatory, so quashing any arguments. ( yes , she only has one bike, the rest are mine)

the wife is pretty good all things considered... she put up with the kitchen becoming a bike workshop for the whole winter and the living room as a holding zone for bikes waiting to go in for rebuild/build up.

in the past 6 months the kitchen workshop has seen 3 road bike builds and 4 mountain bike builds.

i've also been clearing out all the spares, so the wife has been pressed into action going to the post office every day with packages to post off.

i might just keep her after all... she thinks bikes hanging on the wall works as a piece of art...

I'm sure she is lovely.

I'd store that bike with the chain in the smallest sprocket and the smallest chainring though to avoid the perhaps mythical cable stretch.

If she's let you buy all those bikes, I would say you need to buy her some bling!

I get a fair bit of earache about just keeping my only steed in working order.

i know about the chainring/sprocket thing... the pic was taken as soon as i took delivery of the bike (it was a p/ex against the sale of my cinelli pro best of italo'79 (silly name for a very sexy bike)

the bike is now a little different with carbon clinchers rather than those 50mm tubs, new bars, stem, tape, cables etc etc and is just awaiting a nice shiny new kmc gold chain...

(apologies for the state of my patio... that's a job for next weekend!

she does okay... the trek lush (first bike in on the second photo) is her mtb... i only finished 'tweaking' it last week (sub 1500g wheels, dropper post, raceface bars etc etc) and her road bike is even more pimp... i just hope she rides the bloody things as neither have been out of the house yet.

her road bike...

That roadie is pretty sweet!

My bikes live all over the place. Some in the garage. 1-2 in the cellar. One in the thing between the house and garage.

Had numerous frames in the bedroom and some groupset parts.. Mainly clean stuff though.
