Neal Crampton wins on a course that took in the north face trail for the 24k biking section and a fairly brutal 6.5k trail run either side. Great course with a really tough technical downhill run section, slippy wet jagged rocks anyone?! I managed to over cook it on one of the downhills and launched off a drop off that turned out to not be a drop off but the edge of the trail, put a bit of a hole in my arm as a result. Think a few others had offs from what I heard.

Roll on the kielder ultra, now that will be epic! Would like to see more offroad duathlons (not this pansy road stuff) ๐Ÿ™‚ great organisation and prizes down to 8th from the guys at highterrain events (unfortunately I had a 1 in front of that number), good stuff!

In addition to riding like a girl I punctured both my leg (off on the first uphill singletrack) and my back wheel.

Top 10 on both runs, 40-something on the bike.
