He's not sure and can't really remember it happening at all. He thinks his stem bolts might have loosened somehow causing the bars to swing round. Pretty lucky it was just bruises he walked away with!

looks like he slid on an off camber bit after waht looks like a drop in the trail, possible brake on landing
Yeah I think he might have caught his pedal after the wheel washed out too. Nasty.
