Specifically, these:

Are they Shimano compatible?

(For the wife's bike, so don't need Gripshift opinions, s'what she's used to)

Front is, but I [b]think[/b] (note 'think' before i get corrected) you may need a sram rear mech. My partner loves them - no broken nails!!! 🙂

[b]All[/b] fronts are! Its the rear thats important (madam).
Gotta work the old STX-RC mech ain't it.

pretty sure only the Sram Attack shifters are shimano compatible, you may have to do some model number research. It's all about cable pull ratios

I think they're 2:1 (ie shimano) - I was looking for cheap ones recently & saw these (ended up with some shimano somethingorothers instead)

suppose they'll be on SRAM site (as M[u]R[/u]X though ??)

what do you do about grips? cut down normal slip-on ones, buy special short ones, or make do?

Found them, thanks scaredypants - I thought it said "MAX" - MRX is actually the Shimano compatible ones.
